Behavior Support
ACSSSD has a Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) on staff. BCBAs support students by helping them to acquire appropriate behaviors and to eliminate behaviors that inhibit their ability to fully participate in everyday activities. The BCBA assesses and analyzes a student’s behavior to determine why they do what they do. Identifying a person’s motivation helps a BCBA develop a plan that can assist in either behavior acquisition or behavior elimination. School-based BCBAs work closely with teachers and other related service providers, as well as parents, to develop plans that are meaningful for the student. BCBAs train staff to implement the plans and review and analyze the collected data regularly to determine when changes need to be made in the plan or when the plan can be discontinued because an inappropriate behavior has been eliminated or a new behavior has been mastered.Enter your text here...
