Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists (OTs) and occupational therapy assistants (OTA) help people across the lifespan to participate in the things they need and want to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities (occupations).  OTs evaluate and address children's skills and abilities in their daily activities and their main jobs of playing and learning.   School-based OTs help address the various needs of students that can impact their ability to participate in their school environment including sensory processing, visual-motor coordination, fine motor coordination, and self-help skills.
