Transportation
The Atlantic County Special Services School District is the County Transportation Services Agency (CTSA) and as such, is an extension of your School District. In order to serve districts with safe, cost effective pupil transportation it is imperative that we receive forms in a timely manner. Please Note: The sooner we receive your forms the more time we have to coordinate them for a better pricing. Please Submit all Transportation forms to the ACSSSD Transportation office by the dates indicated:
* Non Public Transportation B6T Forms are due ASAP if you haven't already submitted them.
Please note: All districts that do business with us need a resolution. Resolutions will be distributed to all Atlantic County Board of Education offices no later than the end of March. Please process them and return them as soon as possible.

Per 6A:27-10.3 Responsibilities of coordinated transportation service agencies
(f) If a CTSA cannot provide the requested transportation, the agency shall:
1. Document why it is unable to provide transportation; and
2. Maintain a listing of destinations for which it is unable to coordinate services to share
this information with other school districts for possible coordination in the future.

The ACTSA will provide the following transportation requested services:
1. Transportation to and from school providing the ACTSA has the drivers, aides
and vehicles is available.
2. Contract with vendors for the provision of transportation services to and from
school
3. Contract with vendors for the provision of transportation services for displaced
or homeless students on a case-by-case basis.

Below is a list of transportation services that the ACTSA is unable to provide due to a
lack of staff and a lack of cost efficiency for all districts:
1. Transporting students out of the State with ACTSA vehicles
2. Bidding or quoting of School Related Activities Contracts, for example: Sports
