Mission Statement

The primary mission of the Atlantic County Special Services School District is to provide educational programs and related services for severely and multiply disabled pupils ages 3 to 21 who meet eligibility requirements.

The secondary mission is to support special needs populations in collaboration with educational and human services agencies by planning, coordinating, assisting and/or administering countywide programs as resources permit when deemed appropriate by the Board of Education.

Philosophy

The Atlantic County Special Services School District's educational program is specifically designed to meet the needs of each student's Individualized Educational Program. Inherent in all programs is the flexibility to meet the changing population and the ever-changing needs of each individual student. The Special Services School District provides a variety of critical services and support that enhance the educational experience of the students.
