DENTAL CLINIC

Dental Services are provided at Atlantic County Special Services by The Foundation of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities.

To obtain services, parents complete a health
history, provide payment/insurance information
and sign consent. Services that fall under the
heading of “general dentistry” can be provided
at school. If a child is uncooperative or requires
extensive work, possibly under anesthesia, a
referral is made elsewhere and the family is
assisted through the referral process.

All equipment is portable. Any waste is removed
at the end of the clinic day and disposed of by
dental personnel following state guidelines.

The Dental Clinic is a valuable service that many of our students otherwise would not be able to receive.
